So, what does “embellishing” mean exactly? Well it can have a lot of different meanings when it comes to lettering, so for the sake of this class embellishing means anything to add some oomph to your lettering. In the videos within this class, I’ve shared my 10 favorite techniques to jazz up your lettering using Tombow brush pens!
So, what are the techniques? I’ll tell you! I share with you my favorite blending techniques, which are Palette Blending, Brush Tip Blending and Layered Blending. These can all be created with Tombow’s Dual Brush Pens because they are water-based and blend together like a dream. I also show you how to take your blending to the next level with a technique I like to call Tie-Dye Lettering (also covered in my book!). And your lettering will look out of this world with my super easy Galaxy Lettering technique. I also share how to create faux watercolor with Dual Brush Pens and how to make your letters look like plaid (perfect for fall!). You’ll also learn how to add interest to your letters with stippling, outlining and shadowing techniques.
If that’s not enough, there’s also a lettering basics refresher (so if you’re new and still getting the hang of this crazy lettering thing, don’t worry!) and a lesson on color theory so you can pair your colors like a pro! At the end of the class, we’ll complete an art print together that you can frame or give as a gift!
